After returning from war in 1946, Lon B Crainshaw started a window cleaning business in Kansas City . Through hard work and determination his one man show became Heart of America Window Cleaning. In 1985 his son, Gary Crainshaw Senior, joined his dad to expand the business. With father and son working together, they began picking up more work and hiring employees. Fast forward to today, Heart of America is run by Lon’s son and grandsons and is a fully insured company with over 20 full time employees.
Through the years we have gained invaluable relationships with our community and customers. We are proud third generation window cleaners with careers that allow us to support our employees’ and our own families. In everything that we do, we expect excellence. Our commitment is to provide our customers with responsive and quality service at a competitive price. As we look back on our own history we realize that our grandfather had no intention of starting this as a way to leave a legacy, he simple worked hard to support his family. However, if our grandfather could see the legacy he left to his son and grandsons we know that he would be proud.

Beyond just being a family that has a history of washing a lot of windows. We want everyone around us know that Family and our Faith in Jesus Christ is at the top of our priority list. Our family’s greatest desire is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart and to love our neighbors as christ has called us to love.
We are not a perfect, but our hope is that our friends, family, employees, and customers see that our lives are nothing but a reflection of what Jesus Christ has done in and through us. We are a family with big goals and an even bigger vision of what we can accomplish here on earth. Our mission goes beyond cleaning windows, but we are so thankful to have the opportunity to serve and work in this way.
